Municipality of Nafpaktia

Municipality of Nafpaktia is located in the Region of Western Greece. It was established after the implementation of “Kallikrates” program and the combination of pre-existing Municipalities of Apodotia, Nafpaktos, Platanos, Pilini, Antirrio and Chalkia. The extent of the new municipality coincides with the historic area of Nafpaktia with river Evinos as its west threshold; it covers an area of 870.38 square kilometres with a population of 31,594 inhabitants, according to Census 2011. The capital city of the municipality is Nafpaktos.
