The festival is organized every two years; in collaboration of NafpaktiaMunicipalityand Nafpaktos choir. It has a tribute character and many well known artists contribute in it. Choirs from all over Greeceand abroad participate while a large audience attends the event. The festival also has a competition part which has been established throughout Greece. A committee evaluates and grants three awards accompanied by appreciable amounts, which bear the name of the composer Mikis Theodorakis. Mr. Theodorakis has many times honoured with his presence the festival. Maestro Todor Kabakchiev is the art director of the festival. “Mikis Theodorakis” 6th International Festival was completed on 25th and 26th May2012 in Nafpaktos.
